James Cole was born on 29 Jul 1600 in St. Giles, Cripplegate, London, England to Sir William James Cole III (1570 - 1630) and Elizabeth Deards (1550 - 1622) and died in 1692 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, North America. He is buried at Burial Hill, Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA. He married on 8 May 1625 in Barnstable, County Devon, England to Mary Tibbes (1598 - 1660).
Facts and Occupation[]
In 1633 he was the first settler of Coles Hill. He was an Inn Keeper and licensed to sell liquor. In 1637 he was a soldier in King Philips War. In 1641/42 he was appointed constable. In 1641 he was appointed Highway Surveyor.
